Harvey Hodd is founder and CEO of Rivan Industries, a synthetic fuels hardware manufacturer. A software and hardware engineer and serial entrepreneur, he founded and exited two software companies before starting Rivan in 2024. Rivan's technology produces synthetic fuels cheaper than fossil gas — a secure, clean source of synthetic natural gas (SNG) that can be injected straight into Europe's gas grid. The company is vertically integrated, keeping engineering, manufacturing, power, permitting, deployment and operation in-house. It has raised £35 million to date, including a £25 million Series A in April 2026, opened a 60,000 sqft manufacturing facility in London, and deployed its first 1MW SNG system — the UK's largest SNG facility.
