Kristo Ovaska is the founder and CEO of Taito.ai, an AI-powered performance management platform he launched in 2024. Before Taito, he co-founded Smartly.io in 2013 and led it as CEO until 2022, growing it profitably into a global leader in social advertising automation with over €100M in revenue and more than €5B in ad spend managed on its platform. Kristo has helped build the Finnish startup ecosystem from the start: he was President of Aalto Entrepreneurship Society (Aaltoes) in 2009, when it organized Slush in its early years, and founded the accelerator Startup Sauna. Today he chairs the board of Startup Foundation, Slush’s parent organization.
