Bradley Treeby is Founder & CEO of NeuroHarmonics, and believes the brain should be as reachable as any other organ, without an incision. Previously Professor of Biomedical Ultrasound at UCL, he developed ultrasound-brain interfaces, designed novel transducer arrays, built the open-source toolbox k-Wave, and led the first human studies targeting deep brain structures with millimetre precision, no surgery required. He left academia in late 2024 to found NeuroHarmonics with engineers and neuroscientists from leading institutions. Reaching a specific brain circuit today means surgery or systemic drugs. NeuroHarmonics offers the alternative: focused ultrasound that modulates any brain target non-invasively, starting with treatment-resistant conditions and extending to a mind-machine interface.
