Grisha Sheldunov is founder and CEO of Amphiform, a company building fuel cells designed from the atom up to create a compact, reliable and powerful energy source that works in any environment. Materials are built atomic layer by atomic layer, with direct control over structure and functional groups. Result: 10x the power density of lithium-ion at a fraction of the cost and running on methanol you can synthesise from CO₂ anywhere from Earth or Mars. Grisha grew up in Ukraine, where he won the National Chemistry Olympiad twice, and moved to the UK after the war. Joined AstraZeneca research during undergrad, then Quantum Chemistry at Oxford. He previously co-founded a consumer electronics company, where he served as CTO.
