Igor Babuschkin is the CEO of River AI, which builds infrastructure so more companies can train and own their AI models. He started as a physicist on the LHCb experiment at CERN. At DeepMind he worked on WaveNet and AlphaStar, the first AI to reach Grandmaster level in StarCraft II. He then worked on reasoning and pretraining at OpenAI, and in 2023 he co-founded xAI, where he led engineering for Grok.
