Odin Space

James is the co-founder and CEO of Odin Space, building the "Black Box" for space assets to solve the growing threat of lethal, non-trackable space debris. Odin's distributed Sensor Network detects fragments as small as 0.1mm and powers the world's first collision-insurance product, making coverage up to 10x cheaper. A space scientist by training, James previously worked on two NASA programs, including the development of a space debris sensor for the ISS, and held a postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley's Space Sciences Laboratory. He holds a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Quantum & Astrophysics. He launched Odin's in-orbit demonstration mission in 2023, with commercial sensors reaching the market in 2026.
