Causa Prima

Maex Ament is Founder & CEO of Causa Prima, and has spent 25 years building software for the complex enterprises everyone else avoids. He started at SAP, then co-founded Ebydos, an invoice automation company later sold to ReadSoft. In 2009 he co-founded Taulia, inventing dynamic discounting and growing it to move billions for suppliers before SAP acquired it in 2022. He went on to co-found Centrifuge, bringing real-world credit on-chain, and Anti-Ordinary, an angel fund backing 150+ early-stage companies. In 2026 he co-founded Causa Prima with Henrik Gebbing and Philip Stanislaus, raising a $10M seed led by Creandum. Most B2B payments still happen by hand; chasing invoices, disputes, discounts. Causa Prima is an agent-to-agent network allowing businesses to pay and get paid on their terms.
