Manos Koukoumidis is CEO and Co-Founder of Oumi, a company dedicated to enabling open-source AI and empowering organizations to build, own and control their own AI models. Previously he was Google Cloud's GenAI lead, responsible for the team that became Gemini before it moved into DeepMind. With over a decade of leadership in AI and machine learning, he has scaled high-impact initiatives at some of the world's most influential technology companies — including integrity and assistant work on Facebook's Portal, and the development of Zo, Microsoft's conversational AI platform widely seen as a precursor to today's chatbots. Manos holds a PhD from Princeton, where he focused on mobile-cloud intelligent systems co-design, and previously studied at MIT.
