Mark Thompson is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at PsiQuantum, the company driving major quantum computing projects in Australia and the United States, as well as cutting-edge quantum research and development in the UK. He has over 20 years of experience in photonic and quantum technologies and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a master's degree in physics from the University of Sheffield. He has held positions at Corning, Bookham Technology (the first silicon photonics start-up), and Toshiba (where he was part of setting up Toshiba’s silicon photonics program), as well as faculty positions at Cambridge University and Bristol University.
