Max Berthelot is Founder & CEO of Lucis. The mission of the company has always been personal for him, as the product he wishes had existed as an overweight teenager unable to see inside his own body is what he's developed today. He spent nearly two decades as a product/growth operator: founded and sold his first startup, built Buffer's first product-growth team (scaling it from $3.5M to $20M revenue), founded PixelMe, and scaled consumer apps to millions of users. In 2025 he founded Lucis (YC-backed) with Baptiste Debever — physicians, engineers and researchers who test every protocol on themselves first. Lucis flips medicine from reactive to preventive: a blood panel, an AI coach turning results into a protocol, and a medical team closing the loop from home.
