Dr Scott Dufferwiel is Co-Founder and CEO of Aegiq, a deep-tech spin-out developing scalable photonic quantum computers for deployment in conventional computing infrastructure. He holds a PhD in Quantum Optics from the University of Sheffield and has built a career spanning the full technology readiness spectrum, from fundamental quantum technologies and graphene-based device breakthroughs to commercial deployment of autonomous robotics and machine vision in aerospace. As CEO, he has led Aegiq's evolution from enabling quantum technologies to a full-stack photonic quantum computing company, establishing its technology roadmap, industrial partnerships and applications programme. He is a Chartered Physicist and Founding Committee Member of the IOP's quantum business group.
