Tomas Harmer is Founder and CEO of Atech, a company changing the way hardware is built. Building satellites, robots and electric cars at university, he kept asking: why is hardware so hard compared to software? Starting his own hardware startup gave him the answer — hardware had no tech stack. So he built one: electrical building blocks that abstract away complexity, combined with AI code generation. Today Atech lets users prompt hardware products into existence, opening up what was once reserved for the most technical 0.1%. Since launching in January, the team has raised $800K from Lovable, Emblem, Nordic Makers, and the scout funds of Sequoia and a16z. Next: blocks that reconfigure themselves into whatever users ask for.
