David is the co-founder and CEO of Berlin-based energy-tech company trawa. There, he is primarily responsible for Sales & Marketing and Investor Relations. David is passionate about using AI to empower Small & Medium Sized Enterprises in Europe to develop a competitive edge by optimizing key energy processes, especially procurement, energy management and energy consumption. When the dependency on Russian’s gas caused 2022’s European energy crisis, David didn’t shy away from the complexity of the huge and centuries old energy sector and instead identified the opportunity the crisis provided for a new business.
Prior to founding trawa, David gathered experience as an operator working for multiple start-ups, among others wefox, Outfittery and DeinDeal. David then worked for several years as a management consultant at Bain & Company. David holds a B.S. in International Business Administration from Germany’s WHU and an M.S. in Business Analytics from Spain’s ESADE. He lives in Berlin.
