Jan Erik Solem is the CEO and co-founder of Stær. Previously he has been the Director Maps at Meta, Chairman at Overture Maps Foundation, co-founder and CEO of Mapillary (map data from crowdsourced street level imagery), manager at Apple (computer vision team leader and researcher), founder of Polar Rose (face recognition for mobile, web, and cloud).
