Lars Langhout is a change-maker at the intersection of biotech, sustainability, and food systems innovation. As co-founder and CEO of NoPalm Ingredients, he leads a mission to disrupt the global specialty fats industry by producing yeast oils via fermentation, starting with palm mid-fraction fat. Their technology allows them to produce drop-in replacements at price parity with impact (90% CO2 reduction and 99% less land-use). Through their innovative asset-light co-location business model, the biotech company is able to quickly and prevent future deforestation globally.
Before launching NoPalm in 2021, Lars spent over a decade in strategy consulting at Booz & Company / Strategy&. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School (’16) and a Master’s in International Business from the University of Groningen.
