Martin Roscheisen created the world’s first single-crystal diamond wafer as the Founder and CEO of San Francisco based Diamond Foundry Inc. – a component capable of accelerating each of today’s most exciting mega industries including AI chips and electric-car power electronics. DF was named TIME’s Best Innovation of 2018 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Company among other media accolades. Prior to DF, Roscheisen founded Nanosolar, the first solar tech startup financed by American venture capital; and eGroups, an early “social media” Internet service funded by Sequoia Capital. Born in Munich, Germany, Martin earned a PhD in Computer Science at Stanford University.
