How does Slush Online work?
Slush Online is a year-round online platform to help early-stage startups outside the Slush main event in Helsinki. We host weekly events to provide founders with mentoring and access to meeting investors.
Slush Online is free to join and open to all early-stage startups and VC or CVC investors. Slush Online is run by a student-driven, not-for-profit movement on a mission to create and help the next generation of groundbreaking entrepreneurs.
Slush Online is built on the foundations of Node by Slush, an online platform for startup founders launched in 2020.
Who can join Slush Online?
Slush Online is open for all startups and VC or CVC investors with an accepted application on the Slush Platform.
We characterise startups as being young, often tech-driven companies, aiming for rapid growth with a scalable business model. While we welcome teams from very early stages, we require all startups joining Slush Online and the Slush main event to be incorporated.
Each startup and investor application on the Slush platform is approved within 24 hours. Not sure if your company qualifies? Send us a message at [email protected], we’re happy to help with your questions.
How do I apply to join Slush Online?
Log in to the Slush Platform and create a company profile. Your application is reviewed within 24 hours.
One application gives you access to Slush Online and to buy tickets to the Slush 2024 main event in Helsinki.

Can I contact investors through Slush Online?
You can apply to meet investors 1-1 in our Online Matchmaking Sprints. These meetings are organised for you by the Slush team when investor matches are found. You can also meet leading VC funds through our invite-only Investor Office Hours.
We don’t give out direct contact information to the investors on Slush Online.

What is the Startup Database?
Over +400 VCs and CVCs use the Startup Database to discover companies to invest in, with more joining every day.
The Startup Database is a tool to find the self-submitted company profiles of all the startups on the Slush Platform.
Your startup company profile is visible to investors in the database if you opt in. We ask about this when you create your company profile. You can change your visibility in the Company settings on the Slush Platform at any time—just note there’s a 24 hour delay in your visibility changing.
