Amy covers European fintech and venture capital for Sifted. She is based in London but covers fintech companies based all over Europe — from new seed stage ideas to the big neobanks. She also writes Sifted’s weekly fintech newsletter.

Her first taste of European tech came when she worked for Italian unicorn Yoox in Milan during its merger with Net-a-Porter — since then, she’s retained a soft spot for Italy’s burgeoning startup scene, and is also Sifted’s eyes on Italy.

Previously, Amy has been featured in the Financial Times, The Guardian, Reuters, The Times and City AM. She has worked on two books — The Lonely Century by Noreena Hertz, and Broken Heartlands by Sebastian Payne — focusing on socioeconomic policy.
