PwC has been a partner of ours since 2010, and we’re excited to continue the journey with PwC as our 2023 Main Partner. This marks the 13th year of collaboration, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, investors, and the entire ecosystem.
”As PwC is one of our earliest supporters, our event would not exist in the same form without them. Long lasting impact does not happen over night - we're grateful to do this together.
Eerika SavolainenCEO of Slush
”We are delighted to see how the whole ecosystem has grown and thrilled about the success stories that have arisen with the support of Slush during the years. It takes persistence to build long-lasting strong partnerships and this partnership and collaboration is a concrete example of how to do and create the change for the future.
Juuso LaatikainenStrategy& Finland Leader, the lead Partner for Slush 2023
At Slush 2022, PwC hosted several events and workshops, the goal of which was to help companies find solutions for a brighter future. This year, PwC is coming back with exciting events, including a debut on Day 0 Investor Day e.g. with exclusive LP-lounge and roundtable discussions especially around family offices and business, not to forget the Side Events on Day 1 afternoon. Initiatives like this are even more important in the current global economic situation.
”We see many opportunities in the crisis, opportunities for innovation, and new forms of cooperation. That's why Slush is the right platform for us to discuss our solutions and ideas for all protagonists of this ecosystem and thus pave the way for a bold step into the future: Building to Last.
Florian NoellPartner, Global Corporate Venturing and EMEA Startups Scaleups Leader
Unveiling the impact of the metaverse and emerging technologies
The Day 1 session begins with a focus on the metaverse and emerging technologies. These technologies, ranging from blockchain to artificial intelligence, are shaping the modern era of business.
”Unfortunately, women remain significantly underrepresented in the startup ecosystem, making up just 15% of tech startup founders. This imbalance becomes even more clear in the male-dominated investment sector, making it harder for female founders to secure funding. To address these challenges, a female panel of emerging tech founders will discuss the issues facing female founders in this space and share practical ways to overcome them.
Steve WillcocksDirector, Global New Ventures & Innovation
Stay tuned for more communication and enrollment for the Day 1 Siipi Side Events powered by PwC, all to be published on the Slush Side Event tool. The first one “Against the odds: successfully raising as a female emerging tech founder” is already live and open for registrations here.
13 years of collaboration
PwC established its partnership with Slush in 2010, and in 2015, they became Slush’s first global sponsor.
”It’s been a heartfelt journey for our entire PwC network to support Slush over the years, through both the good times and challenging times. Once again it is great to have our global thought leaders joining Slush to enable the most value add for the ecosystem.
