‘Good is not good enough’ is a dictum that lies at the core of Peyush Bansal’s entrepreneurial journey since the beginning. Within eleven years of Lenskart’s inception, Peyush has pivoted the brand to become the most recognizable and geographically diverse omnichannel marketplace brand for eyewear in Asia.
Peyush’s entrepreneurship journey started in 2010 with the launch of Lenskart along with few more business lines catering to different product markets. However, he was strongly inclined towards the glaring yet unaddressed problem of Vision correction in India and the world. More than 600 Million Indians and 4.2 Billion people globally are affected by poor vision and need eyeglasses. However, only 170 Million Indians and 1.7 Billion people globally have any form of vision correction. Fired by the passion to solve this problem, Peyush joined hands with his cofounders to enable people do more & be more through eyewear.
As an avid investor in upcoming startups, Peyush focuses on three core areas- Tech for Good, Sustainability & Large scale Solutions. He envisions powering up India’s startup ecosystem through innovators who create, collaborate and help transform the world.
