Ric joined Target in 2019 to co-lead Target’s Early Stage Fund. Over this time he has led over a dozen investments for Target in companies including Kuda, Revolut, Fintecture and Minit, which was recently sold to Microsoft. Prior to joining Target, Ricardo founded Loric Ventures, an early stage investment vehicle that backed companies including Revolut, Habito, Planradar, Maven Clinic and many others. He began his VC career at Seedcamp during a period when the fund invested in companies including UI Path, Pleo, Revolut, Wefox and others and was a Venture Partner at Cherry Ventures.

Prior to becoming an investor, he spent 6 six years on the M&A team at Merrill Lynch. Ricardo was also a founding investor of WeGotPOP, a workforce platform for the film and tv production industry which was later acquired by Entertainment Partners. Ricardo holds a PhD in Economics and Social Studies from FAU Nürnberg-Erlangen and a Diploma in Economics from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
